Telecom division of our company consists of previous employees of large corporations. This gives us the opportunity to see the history of the communication firms as well as the future forecast of the facilities needed. Our engineers are experts on Outside Plant (OSP) design and capable of field verification of communication facilities.

Telecommunications Act of 1996 is the first major overhaul of telecommunications law in telephone history. Per FCC (Federal Communications Commission), the goal of this law is to let anyone enter any communications business and to let any communications business to compete in any market against any other. It had affected the way long distance phone, cable programming and other video services are provided, especially to schools and government owned properties.

Since 2000, the creation of the new communications and broadcasting companies, large corporations had to share their structures as well as facilities as a part of FCC 1996 Act. This created greater conflict resolution during construction as much convenience as it created for the competing companies.

Utility coordination of these utilities is of greater concern to those municipalities that needed to do excavation. With the help of utility field markings and locates design companies were able to better identify those that are in the way of construction. Construction sites are marked with utilities as a part of USIC (Digger’s Hotline at 811) locates. However this service does not provide 3D or depth analysis and it usually off by 18” to 2’.

Knowing where exactly those utilities are and how deep they are is not possible without the help of sophisticated sonar tools and actual test holes. Our firm is expert at locating utilities and designing/planning relocation plans accordingly.

TELEPHONE LINES & FACILITIES DESIGN

  • Our firm provides in-house as well as off-premises design for communication companies. We can help you design the GROWTH, BACKBONE, SUBDIVISION DEVELOPMENT, HI-CAP LINES, T1 MAIN LINE AND DISTRIBUTION.
